Have you dreamed about working with textile and installation? If the response is positive, the „Yö Pajat: Textile installation workshop” workshop series is for you. During the workshop series you will get knowledge about composing space and colour through use of various media with the emphasis on textile. We will relate theoretical knowledge with the practical skills and work sustainably with recycled materials. During the workshops we will explore how to implement traditional skills into contemporary installation language. We will research the tradition of contemporary art installation and textile art, get to know the basics of fabric as a medium, textile crafting options, constructing patterns, basics about the theory of colour and its meaning in space. We will also be open to mix textile with other media (such as digital work). At the end of the workshop series we will present results with original artworks of all the participants.
